The electric actuators are designed for linear reverse movement of the final control element in the systems of automatic control over technological processes, particularly for movements of the final control element in the pipeline valves (valve elements, tap valves, etc.) as well as for signaling the positions reached by the final control element and for giving signals when the final control element has reached the maximal acceptable closing force.
The electric actuators can be used in restricted areas or in areas protected by housing (shedding) in inexplosive operating environment with no aggressive gases and fumes in concentrations enough to corrupt metals and insulation.
The electric actuators fulfill the following functions:
- reverse movement of the output element with the help of either the electric motor of the actuator or the handwheel;
- giving signals when one of the three set positions of the output element is reached by means of actuating the appropriate switch;
- signaling the current position of the valves final control element with the help of either the resistance transducer or current signal of 4-20 mA;
- giving signals when the maximal acceptable switch-off force of the output element in the process of closing is reached by means of actuating the appropriate switch;
- emergency turn-off of the electric actuator when overheat of the motor occurs.
The electric actuators ЭПП have several versions (ЭПП-1, ЭПП-2, ЭПП-3) which differ in maximal generated force, working stroke, output element conveying speed, mass and dimensions.
