As a result of investigation the workers of the Economic Security Department and the Commercial Crime Prevention Department at the Tula Region Department of the Interior detained a criminal group, which organized manufacture and sale of counterfeited electric equipment that doesn’t conform with the safety requirements, according to the official web-site of the Department of the Interior.
The assembly shop was situated in one of the buildings in the territory of the Designing Bureau and belonged to OOO Souzprom+ registered in Tula. The investigators found 36 finished electric actuators, 9 non-assembled ones, asynchronous motors and details used for manufacture of counterfeited electric actuators, labels without electric actuator number, but with the name of the alleged manufacturer – Tulaelectroprivod, CC. Moreover, there were found 130 boxes with the plant information for packing of electric actuators as well as tools and equipment for painting and coating of counterfeited electric actuators.
Specialists of Tulaelectroprivod, CC, warn, that exploiting such products is fraught with emergency conditions when used in oil and gas industry, power plants and other dangerous industries.
